1. About this policy

Sentriq Cyber Pty Ltd (Sentriq Cyber, we, us) is an Australian cybersecurity consultancy based in Sydney, New South Wales. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information, and how you can access it, correct it, or make a complaint.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We follow the APPs as a matter of good practice, whether or not an exemption under the Act would otherwise apply to a business of our size.

2. What this website collects: by design, nothing

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, uses no trackers and loads no third party scripts. It does not ask you to create an account, and its contact form does not transmit anything to our servers: submitting it composes an email in your own mail application, which you choose whether to send.

The website is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Like any hosting platform, Azure may briefly process standard technical information about requests (such as IP addresses and browser details) in its platform logs for security and operational purposes. We do not use this information to identify visitors.

We do not use your information for marketing without your consent.

4. Client engagement information

Information we encounter while delivering security services, including technical and personal information within client environments, is governed by each engagement's contract and confidentiality terms. We use it only to deliver the engaged services, restrict access to those who need it, and do not use it for any other purpose.

5. How we hold and protect information

Correspondence and business records are held in Microsoft 365 business services. We protect information with controls that include encryption in transit and at rest, strong authentication, and access limited to those who need it. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete it.

6. When we disclose information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We disclose it only:

7. Overseas disclosure

Our service providers operate global infrastructure. Information is held primarily in Australia, but may be processed in other regions where our providers operate. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps, including through our providers' contractual commitments, to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

8. Access and correction

You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, using the contact details below. We will respond within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why, and how to complain about that decision.

9. Data breach notification

If a data breach involving personal information is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it promptly and notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

10. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below. We take complaints seriously and will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the OAIC at www.oaic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 363 992.
